About me
My initial scientific interest concerns the study of damage mechanisms in materials using X-ray tomography. My interest naturally "muted" to 3D image processing when I joined the Institute of Applied Computer Science in 2005. I also got deeply involved in the process tomography group, for which I (co-)lead two European grants: DENIDIA (FP6 ToK; 2006-2010) and TOMOCON (H2020 MSCA ITN; 2017-2022).
As far as teaching is concerned, I am mainly involved in IT-related courses at IFE in the CS and HCI programmes. I also have a solid experience in flipped education methods, such as problem-based learning, case teaching or Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL).
