About me

I am an assistant professor working in the field of mechanics of composite materials. My research covers experimental and numerical testing of buckling in thin-walled columns produced from glass and carbon fibres.

In my PhD thesis, I proved that residual stresses generated in the autoclaving curing process are responsible for increased buckling loads and post-buckling stiffness of the columns with a square cross-section.

During my doctoral studies, I was a principal investigator of two projects funded by the Polish Ministry of Science (Diamond Grant VI programme) and the Polish National Science Centre (Etiuda 8 programme).

My experience also covers an academic visit at the University of Bath (three months: September - December 2021), a technical studentship at CERN - European Organization for Nuclear Research (one year - August 2017 - July 2018) and an internship at the German Aerospace Centre DLR Braunschweig (three months: July - September 2015).
